Customer Reviews

" Dementia care is something very close to my heart, I was looking at strategies to improve the environment and improve training, Mark’s training is recognised internationally — I think his methods and presentation are very good " Jim Kelly - Abbey Care Home Manager
" I have worked in the NHS for over 40 years in a number of capacities from ward sister, clinical nurse specialist, clinical teacher, senior nurse to Associate Nurse Director - Education and Training. I am now retired and work as a volunteer coordinator for a charity addressing social isolation. During my career I have attended many training sessions on dementia however the training that was provided by Informed Dementia Care was by far the best experience. I believe that this experiential learning should be a necessary part of training for anyone involved in the caring field, particularly relevant to those in student training.
There were some timely reminders of the reality of suffering with visual and hearing loss, the disorientation that comes from a loss of our senses and the need to challenge the assumption that the client's reactions are as a result of dementia.
Thank you for such excellent training. " Glenys Brown - RGN, DMS, FAETC, Post Grad Res Dip.

" ALL elderly people especially those living with dementia deserve our utmost compassion. Being offered a premature glimpse of old age and infirmness helped me understand better what a person might be going through " David Doyle - Dementia Champion participant
